Green California Schools and Community Colleges

The Green California Schools and Community Colleges (GCSCC) program is a statewide initiative that supports the development and implementation of sustainable practices in California’s schools and community colleges. The program provides a variety of resources and support to help schools and colleges reduce their environmental impact, improve energy efficiency, and promote sustainability education.

The Green California Schools and Community Colleges Summit is an annual event that brings together leaders in education, government, and business to discuss best practices for greening California’s schools and colleges. The 2018 Summit was held on October 29-30 at the Pasadena Convention Center

The Summit featured a variety of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. Keynote speakers included author and Green Schoolyards America founder Sharon Danks and State Architect Chet Widom. Breakout sessions covered topics such as green design and construction, lighting and HVAC, LEED certification, and much more.
